Our Story
Honestly, we're not your typical resort. Built on land that's been whispered about in local folklore for generations, Mythos Quinta Vorn came to life from a dream that refused to fade.
Three friends, one vision, and about a million cups of coffee later - here we are.
Back in 2015, Sarah Chen, Marcus Vornberg, and Alina Petrova were sitting around a campfire right here on this ridge. They'd just finished a grueling hike and were half-joking about building a place where people could experience these mountains without, you know, nearly dying on the trail.
Marcus grew up hearing his grandmother's tales about the "quinta" - an old word for a country estate - that supposedly existed here centuries ago. Local Indigenous communities had their own stories about this being a healing ground. Sarah, who'd spent years in hotel management across Asia, kept saying "we could actually do this." And Alina? She just wanted a really good spa in the mountains.
Fast forward through permits, construction headaches, and way too many design revisions - Mythos Quinta Vorn opened in spring 2018. We're pretty proud of what we've built, but more importantly, we're grateful you're here to experience it.
Look, we're not gonna pretend we've reinvented hospitality. But we do things a bit differently here.
Every staff member? They've hiked these trails. They know which table gets the best sunset view. They remember your coffee order after one visit.
We built this place for people who want luxury without the stuffiness, adventure without the fear, and relaxation that actually sticks with you after checkout.

Guest Voices
Real words from real guests - nothing scripted here
"We've stayed at plenty of mountain resorts, but this one just hits different. The staff actually remembers you, the food doesn't feel pretentious, and that spa? Worth every penny. Already planning our third visit."
Jennifer & Tom Richards

"Brought our team here for a corporate retreat and honestly, it was the first one people didn't complain about. Great balance of work spaces and places to decompress. Plus the guided hikes are no joke - in a good way!"
Diana Kowalski

"The wine cellar dinner was incredible. Chef came out and chatted with us about each course. Felt like eating at a friend's place - if your friend was a Michelin-trained chef with killer taste."
Robert Chen
Toronto, ON
"Anniversary trip and they went above and beyond without us even asking. Rose petals, champagne, the works. But it was the handwritten note from staff that got us. These folks care."
Maya Patel
Calgary, AB
"Came for the skiing, stayed for... well, everything else. This place knows how to make you feel at home while still feeling special. Can't wait to come back in summer."

Our Commitment
We take from these mountains every day - the views, the air, the trails. Seemed only right to give something back.
5% of our profits go to local conservation efforts and Indigenous community programs. We've partnered with Whistler Trail Alliance for habitat restoration and work closely with the Squamish and Lil'wat Nations to honor the land's heritage.
Plus, our building runs on 80% renewable energy, we've cut single-use plastics by 95%, and our kitchen sources from local farms within 100km. Not perfect, but we're trying.
